This year, MasonMUN will be utilizing a one-pad system for all of its crisis committees. In this system, delegates will be given one notepad for both directives and crisis notes. During periods when crisis notes are collected, delegates will be permitted to rip out their sheets from the notepad and hand them to our staffers. For ease of responding, we ask that all delegates write on the front side only for crisis notes.
Delegates will have fewer notes than in a traditional two-pad system; however, delegates will be receiving longer, more detailed responses from the backroom. Due to the brevity of this conference, we encourage delegates to be ambitious with their notes, keeping in mind the simultaneous responsibility of more detailed and well-thought notes. We also recommend that delegates include a 1-2 sentence TLDR at the bottom of their notes so backroom is clear on what the delegate is requesting.
